Reason for the nomination:
The abandonment rationale here is absurd. While I fully believe that this was created either by Donald Trump (or, equally likely, by somone acting on his behalf), Trump's denial of being the author does not place this in the public domain. For this to be an abandoned copyright, we would have to know that trump at some point held the copyright and has overtly relinquished it. Further, abandonment is an "affirmative defense," applicable only if someone is accused of infringement and then pleads and proves this defense in a court of law, which certainly has not happened.

Trump has repeatedly denied authoring this document[2][3][4]. Under United States copyright law, this is called "abandonment" and is treated as a release of the document to the public domain. Copyright abandonment cannot be later rescinded. (See cases like Hadady Corp. v. Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc., Lopez v. Electrical Rebuilders, Inc., and National Comics Publications, Inc. v. Fawcett Publications, Inc. et al).

Note that legally, it doesn't matter if Donald Trump is correct and an unknown third party has gone to considerable effort to fake this document, 22 years before anyone even knew it would matter. They have also abandoned copyright by denying authorship and wanting us to believe that Donald Trump wrote it.
